$104m woodworking launched outside St. Pete

The first stage of Russia’s largest woodworking company MM-Efimovsky has been launched in Leningrad Region’s Boksitogorsky district, regional officials said today.

This $104m company is a joint project of Austria’s Mayr-Melnhof Holz Gmbh and Russian development and industrial LSR Group (LSRG), the officials specified.

The reported capacity of new production as originally envisioned in 2006 is 300,000 cu. m of lumber a year.
