Ford Russia launches the Mondeo

6 Mar '09
The Ford factory in Leningrad Region’s town of Vsevolozhsk has started Mondeo production, news agency REGNUM reported today, citing a source in Ford Motor Co.

The first batch is reportedly expected to hit dealerships later in March.

Production plans have yet to be announced.

Russia’s Ford opened in July 2002; it now employs more than 2,000 people. Up to now, the factory was only churning out Ford Focus cars.
