Germany’s MAN to build $36m auto-assembly plant in St. Petersburg

German trucks and buses manufacturer MAN TRAC BUS AG intends to invest $36m building an auto assembly plant in St. Petersburg, Interfax reports.

The plant’s projected annual capacity is 6,000 SKD-assembled transport vehicles.

Under plans, produced cars are to be sold in Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan.

Production is scheduled to be launched in Q1 2012.
