Auto manufacturer Yarovit and ONEKSIM group intend to invest $88m building a hybrid-auto complex in St. Petersburg, Kommersant reports.
The partners have reportedly purchased three land sites with total area of 40 hectares in Maryino industrial zone from VTB-Capital.
Under plans, the complex is to consist of three plants to produce hybrid cars Yo-Mobiles, hybrid trucks and car parts for them.
Yo-Mobile plant’s first launch complex, with annual capacity of 45,000 cars, is scheduled to be launched in September 2011. In the future, the second launch complex is to be commissioned and output is to double.
The auto parts complex, with projected annual capacity of 50,000 detail sets, is also to be commissioned in September 2011. Later the second and third launch complexes are to be built.
The hybrid trucks production, with annual capacity of 6,000 cars, is to start in October 2011, and the second launch complex is to follow.
