14 Apr '11
Authorities in Nenets Autonomous District intend to spend about $28.3m building a fish-processing plant, news agency RIA Novosti reports.

The plant is reportedly to be located in the town of Naryan-Mar.

Under plans, the complex is to have five lines to produce preserves, pre-cooked food and ready products from local and oceanic fish.

The complex is also to have a fish-intake station and a deck for small boats with water wells, the officials said.

The project is scheduled to be carried out by 2016.
