Moscow’s Splat-Cosmetics has $11.9m plans for cosmetics and personal hygiene stuff production to be fully launched in Novgorod Region’s town of Okulovka by 2012, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the regional administration.

Phase 1 of the project will reportedly include the launch of toothpaste production this year with the capacity of 3.6 million pieces a month (with the possibility of boosting capacity to 9 million pieces a month by 2012).

The company reportedly also plans to launch production of shampoos, gels and masks on the same premises.

Under plans, construction will start in February; phase 1 is to kick off in August-September 2010.

The new factory will employ about 250 people, RIA Novosti specifies.
