$500m+ Amur Shipbuilding bail-out unveiled

12 May '09
Komsomolsk-on-Amur based Amur Shipbuilding, Khabarovsk Region, will get $76m in a federal appropriation and a $435m loan to restructure its debt, RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced today.

The factory’s outstanding payables reportedly amount to $1.1bn, including $424m owed to Sberbank.

According to the premier, it is the main creditor, Sberbank, that is expected to provide the $435m loan.

Just recently Sberbank acquired 59% of the debtor for a symbolic $60, RF Vice-Premier Sergei Ivanov reported earlier.
