Tyazhmekhpress to invest $6.5m in reconstruction

Voronezh region heavy mechanical presses manufacturer Tyazhmekhpress has announced plans to spend about $6.5m on modernization of its production facilities.

Under the project, the company is to overhaul its production tools to increase the weight of processes details to 250 tons and to reconstruct access railways and annealing furnaces.

As a result of modernization, the plant is to produce presses with power of 16 tons, the firm said.

The project is scheduled to be carried out by 2012.
