Agropromyshlenny announces $45m Oryol program

Oryol region agricultural company Agropromyshlenny Alliance has announced a $45m investment program of agricultural projects in Oryol region.

Under plans, the company is to upgrade the Lomovskoye pig-breeding complex to annual capacity of 100,000 pigs in the region's Zalegoschensky district.

Another breeding complex would also be built, with annual capacity of 24,000 pigs, in the region's Sverdlovsk district.

Among other plans, the firm is to build a 1,200-cow dairy farm in Zalegoschensky district and 2,500-cow farm in Sverdlovsk district.

To provide animals with feed, the firm is to buy more land to bring its total acreage to 40,000 hectares.

The projects are scheduled for completion within the next four years.
