Voronezh region eyes basalt pipes plant

Moscow firm Zavod Basaltovyh Trub (Basalt Pipes Plant) intends to launch a plant to produce basalt pipes in Voronezh region, regional officials report.

Investment in the project has yet to be disclosed.

The plant is reportedly to be located at premises of Atomenergozapchast plant in the city of Novovoronezh.

The complex’s projected annual capacity is over 100 kilometers pipes.

The plant is scheduled to be put into commission in September 2010.
