Rostov region to spend $21m to fight unemployment

A total of $21m is to be spent to finance a program to fight off unemployment in Rostov region in 2010, regional officials report.

The funds are reportedly to be assigned from the federal and regional budgets.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to keep up employment for workers under threat of dismissal, provide community works to unemployed and increase the number of employed in small business sector.
