Sberbank loans $15m to Irkutsk region

Authorities in Irkutsk region have announced plans to take out $15m in loans with Sberbank.

The bank was reportedly the only bidder at an open loan tender, held by the regional government.

Under the tender, the regional authorities are to take out two $7.5m loans at up to 19.5% interest.

The funds are reportedly to be used to cover the regional budget deficit.
