Sibirenergo fined $2.7m for antitrust violation

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has officially announced a $2.7m fine imposed on Novosibirsk power supplier Sibirenergo for committing an antitrust offense.

In its report FAS said that the fine was 1% of the company's energy sales.

Sibirenergo, having an agreement with the Dom Na Oktyabrskoy condo for providing electric power, unfoundedly declined to exclude prepayments for power, the source reported.
