Growing Altay green to cost $23bn

Approximately $22.8bn will be invested into Altayskoje Priobje development project in 10-15 years, regional officials said.

The project will be subsidized both by state (40%) and private (60%) investments, according to the regional vice-governor Michail Shetinin.

The project will be aimed at the development agriculture, food-processing industry and agricultural engineering, in order to make Altay an important agricultural area.
