Fintech startup Winvestor, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation's IT Cluster, has launched Russia's first online personal account platform for independent investment advisors, financial advisors and their clients - Sovetnik.io. The service will help private investors manage their capital according to the recommendations of investment advisers certified by the Bank of Russia.
The digital platform makes it possible to automate the investment consulting industry: from client profiling to video consulting and reporting to the Bank of Russia.
Sovetnik.io makes the services of investment advisers more accessible and solves the problem of private investors who do not have enough time and sufficient experience to complete transactions in the stock market. Currently, only nine independent advisors can provide investment consulting services in Russia. They comply with the requirements of Russian legislation and are included in the unified register of investment advisers of the Bank of Russia, which regulates the sphere. Thanks to the development of a Skolkovo resident, an investor can get a recommendation from a certified advisor from anywhere in the world.
Roman Zabrodin, General Director of Vinvestor: “Over the past year, the market for private investors in Russia has grown by about 50 percent. Due to the fall in the profitability of deposits, people have become more actively interested in investments, the services of advisers are becoming more popular. The Sovetnik.io platform allows you to scale your investment consulting business. Now advisors can completely go digital - hold online meetings, make investment recommendations in a few clicks and save time on reports. At the development stage, we communicated with advisers and focused on their wishes. ”
The client can conclude an agreement with the advisor remotely. The parties sign the document with a simple electronic signature. The platform software supports the required protocols and security certifications.
Advisors get the opportunity to collect ready-made portfolios for novice investors and give individual investment recommendations, taking into account the requirements of the regulator. The document is sent to the client in his personal account and by e-mail.
Vitaly Shevelev, independent investment advisor: “With the entry into force of the new law on investment advisors, there is an additional burden and responsibility for both clients and the Bank of Russia. We met the guys from Vinvestor at a specialized conference. They presented ideas for the creation and development of a platform that would not tie us to the products of one vendor. As a result, I became a project consultant. In the pilot version, the basic needs of an investment advisor were met. I am already actively using the platform. ”
The system contains a built-in chat for convenient communication with the client. If necessary, the advisor can conduct a video conferencing consultation to elaborate on the portfolio strategy. If the client does not understand something, the advisor will draw notes on the slides and graphs displayed on the screen at the time of the video call. The developers plan to integrate chat with Telegram and WhatsApp for investors who are used to solving issues in messengers.
In the future, the company plans to integrate Sovetnik.io with the internal systems of brokerage companies in order to carry out transactions on the securities market on behalf of the client directly from the investment advisor's personal account.
Andrey Konshin, project manager of the Skolkovo Foundation: “The pandemic has accelerated the transition to remote service processes. Winvestor has created a digital platform that allows you to buy and sell investment products online. The developers believe that transactions on the securities market should be carried out as easily as ordering goods from an online store. Now that the Sovetnik.io service has connected to this platform, private investors can remotely receive advice from certified investment advisors with a guarantee that the quality of the services provided meets the requirements of the Bank of Russia. ”
The Winvestor Marketspace is a market space for buying and selling investment products. Includes: OpenAPI platform for distribution of investment products; online store of investment products; content project for novice investors; SAAS Sovetnik.io platform for independent investment advisors, financial advisors and their clients; SAAS platform ESIA.Finance for brokers and management companies. Vinvestor is an associate member of NAUFOR and a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation.
