Sberbank subsidiary launches cyber security sales

11 Jul '19
A Sberbank subsidiary called BI.Zone is expanding its business model by offering third-party customers its controlled cyber security services, the Russian business daily Kommersant reported.

The services may include cloud solutions for email protection, prevention of DDoS attacks, means to thwart attempts to compromise web apps, and cyber threat assessment strategies. BI.Zone believes the services will be in demand across both large-scale companies that may lack skilled personnel in this particular field, and SMEs that simply do not have enough money to pay in-house specialists.

Sberbank, Russia’s largest savings bank, set up BI.Zone in 2016 and has been its largest client since then. According to the developer, the team already has more than a hundred customers from the finance, transport, oil & gas and manufacturing sectors.
