Oryolselprom to build $73m pig complex

Oryol region agricultural company Oryolselprom has announced $73m plans to build a pig-breeding complex in Oryol region.

The project is reportedly to be 75% financed with bank loans. The company is currently negotiating eight-year 17% interest loans with Rosselkhozbank and Vnesheconombank.

The complex is to be built in the regions Bolkhov district

Under plans, the complex for 108,000 pigs is to have projected annual production capacity of 12,500 tons of pork. The company also intends to build a grain storage for 75,000 tons.

The complex is scheduled to be put into commission by 2011.

Oryolselprom is a part of Moscow-based agricultural group Mosselprom.
