KMK to build $53.5m duck complex in Rostov region

Taganrog firm KMK intends to invest $53.5m building a complex to produce and process duck meat in Rostov region, Kommersant reports.

The project is reportedly to be fully financed with bank loans, including a loan, taken out with British bank HSBC Holdings PLC.

Under plans, the complex is to be located on three land sites for 18, 15 and 16 hectares in the village of Kamenny in the regions Zernogradsky district.

Under the project, the company is to build a duck-breeding farm, slaughter house, initial processing complex, semi-products plant, waste processing facility, refrigerator storage facility and duck feed plant.

The complex construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
