Chelyabinsk cow farms to get $2m to buy additional food

13 Jan '10
Chelyabinsk region animal breeding farms are to receive $2m support from the regional budget to be spent on purchase and transportation of an additional feed stuff for cows, regional officials report.

Additional feed stuff is needed due to cold weather and snow falls in the region in the first decade of January, officials said.

During cold weather part of food is used by animals to keep themselves warm.
