Denmark’s Idavang to build Pskov pig farm

3 Feb '11
Danish investment company Idavang has plans to launch by 2012 a pig-breeding complex in the Pskov region’s Ostrovsky district, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the regional administration.

Under plans, the project will break ground this coming spring.

An investment amount has yet to be specified.

The farm for 100,000 pigs will have a projected capacity of 10,000 tons of pork a year, the source said, adding that the region was expecting 150 new jobs as a result of the project.
