RF and Primorsky’s $26m agro-support reported

1 Dec '09
The RF and Primorsky governments have aided Primorsky agribusinesses with more than $26m since the year beginning, regional officials said today.

Most of the funds have reportedly come from regional coffers (just under $18m).

The money has been directed towards supporting livestock breeding, crop production, as well as reimbursing businesses for purchases of new machinery, and partially covering banking interest rates on loans taken out by agricultural producers, the officials specified.

A total of more than 300 agribusinesses have reportedly received aid.

Primorsky’s overall agricultural appropriation for this year is around $33m, the source said.
