Yaroslavl region’s $6.8m villages development plans

A total of $6.8m is to be spent to finance Social Development of Villages program in Yaroslavl region in 2010, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $1.5m is to be assigned from the federal budget, $3.4m is to be earmarked from the regional budget, $440,000 is to be put up by municipal authorities, and the remaining funds are hoped to be raised from non-budgetary sources.

Under plans, the funds are to be spent to improve living conditions of village residents, gasification and water supply, as well as development of information services and specialists training.
