Smolensk entrepreneur Valery Uskiryayev intends to build a $22m animal-breeding complex with a bio-energy facility in Smolensk region, Interfax reports.
The project is reportedly to get state support from the RF Ministry of Agriculture and is to be co-financed by an as-yet-unnamed Smolensk bank.
The complex is to be built in the region’s Pochinkovsky district.
Under the project, the investor is to build a 1,200-cow farm, large green-house to grow vegetables and mushrooms and a bio-energy facility, which would use animal manure to heat the complex.
Timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
