Komienergo’s $20m 2009 energy projects reported

Energy supplier Komienergo spent $20m on electrical grid development in the Republic of Komi last year, the firm said.

The company reports a continued upgrade of the 110kV, 36km Mikun – Edva power line and construction of the 110kV Syktyvkar – Krasnozatonskaya-2 aerial power line as two of its largest projects in 2009.

Komienergo reportedly put into operation more than 170km of power lines of diverse voltages, and installed 42MVA in new electrical capacity.

Komienergo is part of interregional distribution grid company MRSK North-West.
