Inter RAO UES announces energy sales to Koreas

East Energy, which is part of Russias energy exporter, Inter RAO UES, will prepare a feasibility study for its prospective long-range power line project aimed at selling electricity to both North and South Koreas, RIA Novosti reports, citing an East Energy source.

According to East Energy CEO Yuri Sharov, the company has plans to build a 500kV power line to supply energy from Russias Primorsky Region to Seoul via North Korea.

Any project financials, timeframes and volumes have yet to be announced.
