Kurganenergo revises upgrade budget upwards

28 May '08
Kurgan-based electrical supplier Kurganenergo says it has upped the planned level of 2008 investment into grid upgrades and development.

The firm earlier said it would be spending around $5m on upgrades for
the year, but today said the figure would be over $6m.

The firm, which serves the Kurgan region, said the package would fund,
among other things, over 60 plans to redevelop or upgrade substations
and high-voltage power lines.
