Eksiton and Rusnano to build $310m solar batteries plant in Stavropol

Science firm Eksiton and state corporation Rusnano intend to build a $310m plant to produce new generation solar batteries in Stavropol, regional officials report.

The project is reportedly to be financed by Rusnano.

Under plans, the plant is to manufacture unique solar batteries with 40% performance efficiency index, invented by Zhores Alferov.

Further parameters for the project, including its timeframes, have yet to be disclosed.
