MRSK Siberia to invest $160m in eight substations

Interregional distribution grid company MRSK Siberia has announced plans to invest $160m in construction of eight 110 kV distribution substations in Omsk region by 2016.

The first substation – Pribrezhnaya – is scheduled to be put into commission in 2010.

Under plans, in 2012 Pribrezhnaya substation will be put into commission, in 2013 Kirovskaya substation is to be launched.

2014 will see three new substations – Sibzavod, Lugovaya and Zarechnaya, the firm said.

In 2015 Metro substation is reportedly to start operation and Novaya substation is to start working in 2016.
