RusHydro paid $3.85m to Sayano-Shushensk accident victims

National hydro power company RusHydro to date has spent $3.85m on social support of families of those, who died or got injured at the accident at Sayano-Shushensk hydro power station (GES) in the Republic of Khakassia, the company reports.

In the nearest future the company’s Board of Directors will reportedly decide on further social payments to the families.

The accident occurred on Monday, August 17, 2009 (see Marchmont news of August 21, 2009). To date, 73 people have been found dead, two are still missing.
