Komienergo to invest $25m in development in 2011

Republic of Komi energy company Komienergo has announced plans to invest $25m in development of its electricity grid facilities in 2011, up 44% on 2010 investment.

Under plans, $17.5m is to be invested in reconstruction and re-equipment of the facilities, and $7.5m is to be spent on construction of new facilities.

As a result of the program, the company is to launch 92-kilometer power lines and increase substationsí power capacity by 13 MVA.

Komienergo is a part of the interregional distribution grid company MRSK North-West.
