Energy company MRSK North-West has plans to invest $243m in Komi’s electrical grid development over the next five-to-six years, the firm said.
Under plans, MRSK’s regional subsidiary, Komienergo, is expected to install an additional 268MVA of transformer capacity and build another 600km of power lines.
MRSK North-West is an umbrella for seven distribution grid companies in Russia’s North-West. The firm reportedly runs more than 169,000km of aerial and cable power lines, 1,100 high-voltage substations (35kV and more), and over 35,000 transformer substations.
