MES East’s $10m substation re-equipment posted

Energy company MES East has installed a new 220/110/6, 63MVA autotransformer and more advanced 220kV outdoor switchgear at its 220kV BK-2 substation in Primorsky Region, currently under reconstruction, the firm said.

The cost of the upgrade is a reported $10+m.

Reconstruction aims to enhance reliability of electricity supply from the Artyomovskaya heat and power station to Primorsky’s south, the company explained.

MES East is part of federal grid company FSK UES.
