Biography

Robert Brown is a product development manager with over thirty years tenure guiding multi-disciplined, cross-functional science and engineering teams in commercializing ideas from conception to manufacturing. Internationally, he led product development teams in Russia, Armenia, Japan, and the Netherlands in both contract research and local development roles.

Dr. Brown has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Doane College (Nebraska, USA), a liberal arts college. His Ph.D. is in Analytical Chemistry from Kansas State University (Kansas, USA).

Dr. Brown has been working with Russian companies and scientists since 1992.

He works in a number of technical fields, including material science, biotechnology, IT, pharmaceutical, agriculture, energy and renewable energy. His focus is on bringing Russian scientific skills to bear on problems faced by international companies.

Robert designed a special course to focus on technology development and innovation as drivers for company success and the importance of all company departments to that process. The course, Research and Development Management, was taught to international business students at the St. Petersburg State University Graduate School of Management.
